The island's airport is serviced by Lan Chile Airlines. It's usually a stopover to or from Tahiti, and space can be quite limited on these flights, so book early.
This is a small island, and many opt to get around completely on foot or horseback!
Most people rent a car. Because of the rugged terrain of the island and the lack of paved roads, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is preferred and can be rented from several car rental agencies on Easter Island, or from private citizens hoping to make a little extra money.
